Job Description
We have an opportunity for an Installation Engineer for a fire & Security business. Based out of their Plymouth offices, you will will be key in delivering the installation, commissioning and handover of fire detection and security systems across commercial and industrial sites throughout the South West . You will ensure all systems are installed to the highest standards, fully tested and compliant with relevant regulations.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n• Install, commission and hand over fire detection, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems\n• Work from design drawings and specifications to meet project requirements\n• Program, test and commission systems to British Standards and client expectations\n• Plan and coordinate works with the project management team\n• Identify and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning phases\n• Provide training and demonstrations to clients during handover\n• Complete commissioning documentation, certificates and reports accurately and on time\n• Ensure compliance with all site health and safety requirements, PPE use and risk assessments\n• Maintain tools, test equipment and company vehicle to a high standard\n\nExperience and Certifications Required:\n\n• Proven experience installing and commissioning fire detection and security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms) 5 Years Minimum Essential\n• Strong technical knowledge of BS 5839, BS EN 50132, BS EN 50133 and BS EN 50131 standards\n• Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications\n• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills\n• Understanding of networking and IP-based systems\n• Full Clean UK driving licence\n• Must have fully checkable work history and will be vetted and DBS Checked\n• ECS/CSCS Card - essential\n• IPAF / PASMA certification – desirable\n• Must have own hand and power tools\n\nBenefits:\n\n· Company Vehicle provided\n· Mobile and Laptop provided\n· Free Life Insurance\n\nIf you feel that you have what they are after and would like more information, then please apply as directed to find out more
