Job Description

As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Access in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will play an important role in controlling access points, assisting visitors and employees, and delivering top-notch customer service. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, contractors, and visitors according to site policies.
• Maintain detailed records of all access control activities, including entries, exits, and any security-related incidents.
• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Operate security-related equipment such as access control systems, surveillance cameras, and communication devices as required by the site.
• Report any observed irregularities, hazards, or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and client representatives as appropriate.
• Assist with implementing evacuation and/or emergency response procedures as directed by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is .
• Customer service experience is .
• Be at least 18 years of for unarmed roles; 21+ years of for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
