Security Coordinator

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship required; dual citizenship not permitted

  • Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of experience in a security-related role

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance


Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance

  • Knowledge of the Defense Information System for Security (DISS),
    Industrial Security System (NISS), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT), and Background Investigation Services (NBIS) in support of personnel security
    processing and compliance.

  • Experience with Security Information Management System (SIMS) or comparable security management databases.

  • Experience drafting, updating, and maintaining security policies, procedures, and guidance in a cleared contractor environment.

  • Knowledge of SharePoint for maintaining security documentation, trackers, and files.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Ability to work independently while effectively supporting the security program.
     

  • Assist security team in executing requirements of the 32 CFR Part 117 - Industrial 
    Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), SECNAVINSTs, and other applicable federal security regulations.

  • Assist with administrative security actions, correspondence, and recordkeeping related to 
    personnel access and security compliance.

  • Maintain personnel security files, trackers, and related documentation in support of onboarding, offboarding, and clearance management activities.

  • Support new-hire security onboarding and training, including initial security briefings and tracking of required annual security training.

  • Support inspections, reviews, and assessments by ensuring required security documentation is accurate, complete, and readily available.

  • Assist with physical security operations, including badge issuance, access control systems, and visitor control procedures.

  • Communicate facility security status, concerns, and incidents to the FSO in a timely and 
    professional manner.

  • Respond to employee security inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

  • Support the FSO with day-to-day security administration and compliance activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of security operations, compliance activities, and organizational needs.
