Position: Quality Inspector – 2nd Shift
Reports to: Quality Manager or Quality Lead
Supervises: N/A
Position Summary: Inspects a variety of parts, using tools, blueprints, using formulas and measuring instruments.
Essential Job Functions:
- Analyzes inspection problems by comparing parts with blueprints or sketches and device procedures necessary to measure specified dimensions.
- Lays out part on surface plate or positions in gauging setup to verify dimensions, using master gages, indexing head, gage blocks, comparator, micrometers, and dial indicators
- Analyzes defective parts to determine reasons for dimensional variations such as faulty machining, assembly procedures, setup or tools or fixtures
- Generate NC’s / CPA’s as required
- Recommends corrective procedures to design methods, process, or production, and engineering department
- Inspects machining or assembly fixtures, tools, gages and suggests replacement or use of new equipment
- Communicates with coworkers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities
- Inspects, measures parts to maintain process control
- Perform FAIRs and First Pc. Inspections as required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 + years in a quality inspection role
- Able to work independently
- Good computer skills
- Good communication skills
- must be approved to work in the US
- must pass a background check
Hourly payrate depends on experience
