Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000 (DOE)


What You’ll Do

As a Scientist I, you will play a key role in a government-funded project focused on the development and optimization of IVD assays. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and design innovative experiments that drive product performance and reliability.


This is a project-based position with an expected duration of one year, funded by a federal contract. You will be hired as a regular, full-time employee and will be eligible for the full range of company benefits.


Continued employment beyond the project’s conclusion may be offered, contingent upon project funding and/or the availability of other roles within the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments related to IVD assay development
  • Contribute to troubleshooting and optimization of assay components and protocols and upscaling manufacturing challenges
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and documentation
  • Contribute innovative ideas to improve research methods and product formulations
  • Present findings and progress updates to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards


What We’re Looking ForRequired

  • MS or PhD in life sciences, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with immunoassays, molecular diagnostics, or related technologies
  • Experience with lateral flow assays, ELISA, or nucleic acid-based diagnostics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with nanoparticles (e.g., gold, latex): modification, conjugation, and characterization
  • Familiarity with bioconjugation techniques and receptor-ligand interaction optimization
  • Experience with biosensors (e.g., SPR, electrochemical) and related analytical tools
  • Familiarity with design control and regulatory requirements for IVD products
  • Prior experience working on government-funded research or development projects
