Location:  Vernon Hills IL 60061
Shift: 1st Shift
Contract Type: Contract (Not Contract-to-Hire)
Pay Rate: $24.79/hour

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Scientist I – Analytical Chemistry Development to provide chemistry support and/or remediation for BD products currently on the market. This role supports stability testing programs related to process and product design changes, as well as the development and validation of analytical methods for raw materials, in-process intermediates, and finished product testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct analytical chemistry testing using wet chemistry and instrumental techniques (e.g., pH, titration, UV-Vis, GC, HPLC).
• Perform data review, entry, and interpretation in support of laboratory activities.
• Generate protocols and reports aligned with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Maintain laboratory operations and ensure GMP compliance.
• Support the scientific and technical aspects of chemistry-related investigations or troubleshooting efforts.

Qualifications:

Education:

• BS/MS in Chemistry or Pharmaceutics with related scientific background.

Experience:

• 2–4 years of experience in pharmaceutical analytical chemistry.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with wet chemistry and instrumental methods.
• Prior work in an FDA-regulated environment with GMP documentation is required.

Skills:

• Proficiency in scientific methodology and analytical techniques.
• Strong scientific writing and documentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and solve technical problems effectively.
• Capable of interpreting complex technical instructions and executing accordingly.

Specialized Knowledge:

• Experience in writing protocols and technical reports.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Quality.
