Job Description
Exciting 6 Month development opportunity to work for a global leader dedicated to helping people see brilliantly. The largest device company in the world – with complementary businesses in Surgical and Vision Care - is hiring a Research Scientist I to join their team!
Pay: $28-$35/hr.
Schedule: M-F 8a-5p
6 Month contract opportunity with possibility of extension or conversion
Responsibilities
- Lead and support formulation, design, and prototype development projects.
- Conduct laboratory research, testing, and analysis of materials and processes.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and presentations.
- Evaluate new technologies and applications relevant to product development.
- Stay current with scientific and industry advancements through research and training.
- May mentor or assist junior scientists.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field (MS: 0–2 yrs; BS: 0–4 yrs experience).
- Background in formulation and process development, preferably with hydrogel or contact lens materials.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
