A leading service provider in viral studies is looking for and experienced Development Scientist, with a passion for Assay Development, to join their rapidly growing scientific team in London.

The Company

They are working on the testing of antivirals and vaccines using human studies. They are looking for someone with extensive experience with Assay Development to really help the team to excel.

Development Scientist Role:

Reporting the Development Director, you will perform design and perform protein expression experiments using various expression systems. Other responsibilities include:

• Design, plan and execute laboratory-based studies to meet the research need of the department.
• Be responsible for the delivery of internal and client contracted research projects.
• Report analysed data within the department, to clients and to appropriate division.
• Analyse scientific data both from internal studies and client projects and advise on scientific integrity.

Development Scientist Requirements:

• Ph.D. degree in biotechnology related subject, or MSc with 2 + years industry experience
• Plus additional experience working in laboratory research in a Biotech/Pharma environment.
• Experience working with GLP/GCP standards.
• Extensive experience working with Virology and all biological techniques is essential.
• Assay development experience.
