Scientific Laboratory Technician

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Science Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a world-class organization that has an opening for “Scientific Laboratory Technician”.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Perform routine product testing to ensure compliance with food/feed safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Execute calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and simple repairs on lab instrumentation.
• Monitor instrumentation performance and escalate issues as needed.
• Accurately document test results into active databases or lab information management systems (LIMS).
• Ensure regulatory and procedural compliance in all laboratory activities.
• Help develop and maintain a strong food safety and quality culture through cross-functional collaboration.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and follow instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer literacy and data entry skills

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a laboratory or quality testing environment (even minimal)
• Understanding of basic lab safety and hygiene practices
• Familiarity with food safety, feed safety, or quality assurance procedures

Additional Information:
Location: Elk River, MN
Assignment Duration: 6 months
Pay range: $19-$20.60/hr. on W2
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM CST
Additional Hours: Occasional Saturday (1 half-day per month)

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
