Well Established Industrial Weighing Equipment Distributor Seeking Heavy Capacity & Standard Capacity Scale Service Technicians in the Northern Central Valley Area (Sacramento, Stockton, Manteca, Tracy)

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Full Time Employment, 40 plus hours per week, some Travel (Company paid)

Company Vehicle & Full Benefits provided

Must have Class C driver’s license, Class A/B preferred.

Military veterans and experienced calibration technicians encouraged to apply and are preferred.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Primary inspector and technician for lab balances, forklift, bench, platform, floor, crane, hopper, tank, truck and rail scales
  • Perform or assist with set up, installations, basic repairs and maintenance of weighing equipment and related products
  • Work in a variety of environments
  • Will work independently as well as with others

TASKS/DUTIES:

  • Preventative maintenance and inspection of balances and scales
  • Preventative maintenance and inspection of truck and rail scales using heavy duty test truck
  • Analyze routine equipment problems and make field corrections
  • Electronic /Mechanical repair
  • Interface with customers to supply technical assistance and support
  • Present our service capability to prospective customers resulting in new service agreement signups

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Good communication skills
  • Operate or learn to operate a forklift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to perform bending and repetitive motions
  • Electrical and mechanical experience
  • Knowledge of communication devices - including RS232, Ethernet connection, analog outputs, electronic and electrical controls - a plus
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) not required, but desired.

Requires valid California driver's license
Must be 18 years old
Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.
