Role: Technical ArchitectLocation: remote / CorshamDuration: 6 monthsClearance: SCRate: £650 - £675We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to support a major defence programme, delivering secure, scalable and resilient solutions across complex environments.Your RoleYou will lead the design and assurance of technical architectures, ensuring alignment with operational and business needs while meeting strict defence and security standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop high- and low-level technical designs across defence systemsDesign secure architectures spanning hybrid cloud, data platforms, secure networks, and edge environmentsSupport integration across MOD, allied, and industry systemsEnsure compliance with MOD standards, NCSC CAF, ISO 27001, and Zero Trust principlesContribute to technical governance, design reviews, and assurance activitiesEngage with senior stakeholders and present architectural recommendationsAssess emerging technologies (AI, cloud, cyber, data) for defence useExperience RequiredStrong technical architecture experience in defence, government, or regulated environmentsProven delivery of enterprise-scale, secure solutionsExperience with systems integration, interoperability, and hybrid/classified environmentsFamiliarity with MOD or NATO programmes and governance frameworksTechnical SkillsArchitecture: Solution, Infrastructure, Integration, Systems EngineeringPlatforms: VMware, Kubernetes, containerisation, private cloudSecurity: Zero Trust, IAM, encryption, secure networksData & Integration: APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging, data platformsTools: Sparx EA, Jira, Confluence, Git, DevOps, IaCDesirableExperience in defence R&D, command & control, secure cloud migration, AI-enabled systems, or multi-domain integration.Reasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
