Our client, a globally recognised AI and business solutions organisation, is delivering a major transformation programme for a high-profile UK Public Sector end customer.

They are seeking an experienced Advanced Infrastructure & Data Engineer to join a specialist delivery team responsible for building and deploying critical cloud, infrastructure, and data capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain secure cloud-based infrastructure environments

\n

• Build and automate infrastructure using scripting, Infrastructure as Code, and automation tooling

\n

• Work across cloud platforms with strong understanding of networking, security, and platform engineering principles

\n

• Perform system administration activities to ensure resilient, scalable, and high-performing environments

\n

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure challenges

\n

• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure technical viability of customer solutions

\n

• Operate as a hands-on technical specialist within an agile delivery team

\n

Data Engineering & Application Support (Secondary Focus)

\n
• Support the development and deployment of modern data platforms and data pipelines

\n

• Enable data ingestion, processing, transformation, and analytics capabilities

\n

• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Architects, and Product teams

\n

• Contribute to API development, integration, and support of data-driven applications

\n

• Assist in the implementation of scalable data engineering solutions using modern tooling and frameworks

\n

Essential Skills & Experience

\n
• Active SC Clearance (mandatory)

\n

• Strong hands-on experience in Infrastructure Engineering and Cloud Platforms

\n

• Proven experience designing and deploying cloud- infrastructure solutions

\n

• Strong automation and scripting skills

\n

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and platform automation tools

\n

• Solid system administration experience across enterprise environments

\n

• Strong data engineering capabilities with Python and SQL

\n

• Experience building, integrating, and supporting APIs

\n

• Experience working within Agile delivery environments

\n

• Demonstrable developer mindset with a passion for building and delivering solutions

\n

• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary technical teams

\n

Desirable Skills

\n
• Experience with Apache Spark or other large-scale data processing frameworks

\n

• Experience supporting AI, analytics, or data science platforms

\n

• Knowledge of modern DevOps and platform engineering practices

\n

• Exposure to public sector or highly regulated environments
