We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to organize and oversee the manufacturing of goods. You will, ultimately, be responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output.
We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures. The ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day. If you are up to it, we’d like to talk to you.
Production Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise the entire operations of the facility with an aim for high performance
- Liaise with Plant Manager to formulate objectives and understand requirements
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Monitor production to resolve issues
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel
- Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
- Approve maintenance work, purchasing of supplies etc.
- Ensure output meets quality standards
- Enforce health and safety precautions
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Provide direction and schedules to the manufacturing department
- Set daily/weekly/monthly goals, communicating them effectively to employees
- Oversee employees and coach them effectively
- Coaching and training skills to onboard new employees, including instruction on safety, e.g. how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
- Assists and coordinates with Production Manager or Operations Manager.
- Coordinate with Production Manager daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
Production Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications
- High School Diploma required—a degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field is
- Proven work experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
- Working knowledge of various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic—self-motivated and results-driven
- Able to sit, walk, move around for long hours at a time
