About the Role

Our client is seeking an SAP Technical Manager to lead development, integration, and support across a large-scale SAP environment, including SAP S/4 HANA, C4C, IS-U, CRM, and BW/4HANA.

This role combines hands-on SAP technical expertise with leadership of a development team (up to 7 direct reports). You’ll drive SAP system integration, oversee custom development, and ensure performance, security, and scalability in a mission-critical utilities environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor a team of SAP developers and technical specialists
Lead SAP projects across S/4 HANA, IS-U, CRM, and C4C from requirements to deployment
Oversee WRICEF development, workflow automation, and system enhancements
Partner with business and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable SAP solutions
Ensure compliance with SOX, GRC, and security best practices
Support and troubleshoot large, complex SAP production environments
Drive process improvements and optimize SAP system performance

Must-Haves

6+ years SAP Functional or ABAP experience (S/4 HANA, IS-U, CRM, or C4C)
Strong technical expertise in ABAP, OO-ABAP, Reporting, BAPI, IDOC, ALE, Enhancements, SAP Script, SmartForms
Utilities industry background (IS-U, Meter-to-Cash, FICA)
Proven leadership or supervisory experience
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Skills

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
SAP Certification
Hands-on experience with UI5, Fiori, ABAP CDS, Idoc, BOPF, Adobe Forms
Project management background
