About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Functional Architect – Public Cloud to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP solutions within a public cloud environment (SAP S/4HANA Cloud). The ideal candidate will combine deep functional expertise with strong architectural insight to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing business solutions aligned with enterprise strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Architecture:
• Define and own the functional architecture for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud deployments.
• Translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and enterprise architecture principles.
• Design and document end-to-end processes and integrations between SAP modules and external systems.
• Implementation & Configuration:
• Lead or support configuration of core SAP functional modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, EWM, SuccessFactors, etc.) depending on scope.
• Guide project teams through fit-to-standard workshops and ensure solution integrity within the public cloud model.
• Ensure compliance with SAP Activate methodology and public cloud governance standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Collaborate with business process owners, IT teams, and external partners to define requirements and validate solutions.
• Act as the primary functional point of contact for SAP-related initiatives in the public cloud.
• Communicate solution designs and decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Governance & Continuous Improvement:
• Define and enforce SAP best practices, configuration standards, and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to optimize business processes and system performance.
• Support release management, upgrades, and testing cycles.

Required Skills & Experience

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Experience:
• 8+ years of hands-on SAP functional experience with at least 3+ years in S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations.
• Proven track record as an SAP Functional Architect or Lead Consultant across multiple full lifecycle implementations.
• Deep understanding of SAP’s fit-to-standard approach, configuration in public cloud environments, and integration with other SaaS or on-premise applications.
• Strong understanding of SAP’s Business Technology Platform (BTP), integration tools (CPI), and extensibility options.
• Experience in solution governance, template design, and multi-country rollout strategies is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on configuration and solution delivery.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and SAP public cloud roadmap.
• SAP Certification(s) in relevant S/4HANA Cloud modules .
