Job Title SAP Coordinator - TEP Namibia

Location: Pau, France (with regular missions to Windhoek, Namibia)
Contract Duration: 12 Months

About the Project

The Client that is transitioning from the development phase to the production phase over the coming years. As part of this transformation, the affiliate has successfully deployed the Client E&P SAP ECC6 template and recently implemented Procurement and Inventory Management functionalities. Additional business processes, including Plant Maintenance, are planned for deployment within the next 2-3 years.

To support this growth and ensure the continued evolution of SAP systems within the affiliate, Client is seeking an experienced SAP Coordinator to act as the primary SAP focal point for TEP Namibia while collaborating closely with Headquarters and local business stakeholders.

The position will be based in Pau, France, with regular travel to Namibia (approximately one mission per month, lasting up to two weeks after the onboarding period).

Key Responsibilities

SAP Operations Support

  • Provide functional support and continuous improvement across SAP environments, including Finance, Contracts & Procurement, Inventory Management, and future business processes such as Maintenance and Inspection.
  • Deliver functional and technical support to SAP Leads and Key Users by assisting with issue resolution, configuration adjustments, business requirement analysis, and process optimization.
  • Act as the primary SAP representative for the affiliate and coordinate with Headquarters regarding SAP upgrades, enhancements, and version changes in accordance with E&P IT architecture standards.
  • Identify end-user training requirements and support competency development initiatives.
  • Execute periodic SAP functional testing activities as required by Headquarters.
  • Create and manage Assistance, Evolution, and Correction requests while coordinating with central support teams.
  • Participate in testing activities for new functionalities, process changes, and system upgrades, ensuring alignment with business requirements before production deployment.
  • Monitor and follow up on support tickets, escalating critical issues when necessary.
  • Coach and develop a designated national resource to become the long-term SAP Coordinator for the affiliate.

SAP Authorizations & Governance

  • Create, maintain, and deactivate SAP user accounts, business roles, and technical roles.
  • Ensure user access management complies with Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) requirements.
  • Validate and monitor access rights in accordance with internal control policies, segregation of duties principles, and Delegation of Authority (DOA) requirements.
  • Manage SOX IT controls at affiliate level, ensuring compliance with SOX methodologies and internal control standards.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate SAP-related compliance risks.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly GRC and KPI reports to Headquarters.
  • Support internal and external audit activities related to SAP governance and access management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience supporting SAP ECC environments within an international industrial or energy environment.
  • Strong functional knowledge of SAP Finance (FI), Procurement (MM), Inventory Management, and related business processes.
  • Experience managing SAP authorizations, roles, and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) activities.
  • Knowledge of SOX controls, segregation of duties principles, and internal control frameworks.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders across business and IT functions.
  • Ability to conduct user training, functional testing, and change management activities.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Fluent English required; French is highly desirable.

Work Environment

  • Based in Pau, France.
  • Frequent travel to Client EP Namibia offices in Windhoek, Namibia (minimum once per month following onboarding).
  • Onboarding, training, and operational support will be provided by the E&P Finance BPO team based in Pau.
  • Travel expenses will be covered by the affiliate in accordance with approved travel policies and budget limitations.
