Salesforce Application Architect

Location: Lansing, MI

Pay Rate: $60–$65/hour (W-2)

No C2C or Third-Party Candidates

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Application Architect to support enterprise modernization initiatives and ongoing operations for large-scale public sector systems. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of enterprise Salesforce solutions while ensuring scalability, security, compliance, and platform optimization.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Salesforce architecture, CI/CD implementation, Agile development, and enterprise application integration. This position requires strong technical leadership and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture and technical design of Salesforce solutions
• Design scalable solutions leveraging:
• Sales Cloud
• Service Cloud
• Experience Cloud
• Field Service Lightning (FSL)
• Conduct Salesforce org health checks and platform assessments
• Participate in design and discovery sessions and promote Salesforce best practices
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives to validate solution feasibility
• Ensure secure application development lifecycle (SADLC) practices are followed
• Support integration of systems across agencies, vendors, and enterprise platforms
• Oversee CI/CD pipeline implementation, automated testing, and release management
• Troubleshoot complex system and performance issues
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and regulatory standards
• Support high-availability enterprise systems serving large user populations

Required Qualifications

• Salesforce Certification (required)
• 5+ years of experience with Salesforce architecture and development
• 5+ years of experience working in Agile environments
• 5+ years of experience gathering and analyzing business and technical requirements
• Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Hands-on experience with:
• Salesforce platform development
• SQL and Oracle SQL performance tuning
• Java development
• Web services and integrations
• Experience with automated testing, branching strategies, and pipeline-as-code
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and lead development teams

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise-level implementations
• Database-related certifications
• Experience with large-scale modernization or public sector systems
