Title: Salesforce Cloud Architect & Developer
Location: Lansing, MI (2-days onsite, 3-days remote Hybrid schedule)
Note: This is a W2 contract role – C2C & 3rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered
As a Salesforce Cloud Architect & Developer, you’ll be responsible for providing technical oversight for all new and existing SaaS (Salesforce) implementations across the enterprise. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to;
- Participating in solution design sessions for client projects providing design guidance in areas, such as extensions/modifications, data conversion, environment provisioning, and/or application integration to ensure the vendor solution is efficient, cost-effective, and easily maintainable
- Working with the customer and end users to define technical requirements for new projects and any future enhancements
- Leading technical workshops and design sessions with the customer
- Proposing/articulating/designing architecture options with pros/cons and implementations
- Ensuring that the technical requirements tie back to the established customer requirements and performance goals, and that technical direction is consistent with the client's long-term strategy
- Fully understanding the capabilities and limitations of the technical environment of applications used by the enterprise
- Reviewing technical architecture deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and requirements traceability
- Having overall technical responsibility for the technical aspects of the project environments
- Compiling internal development guidelines/standards for the development team and ensuring that the team is following those standards
- Providing oversight on QA efforts to ensure adherence to Quality Assurance standards
- Ensuring that proposed solutions adhere to security guidelines and standards throughout the application lifecycle
Position Qualifications:
- 5+ years of working experience on Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and 2+ years of experience with Public Sector Foundation for licensing/permitting
- Experience in a minimum of two full Salesforce.com lifecycle implementations, with an in-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce platform
- Experience with custom development using advanced structured programming (APEX, Force.com, Java), Salesforce Flow Builder, Visual Flow Pages, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and/or Omniscripts
- Ability to assess Salesforce.com architecture and provide secure, high-performance technical solutions on the Force.com platform
- Experience designing and documenting technical architecture solutions that span multiple platforms and include integration and authentication across systems
- Experience migrating from Workflow Rules/Process Builder to Flow Builder
- Demonstrated successful implementation experience of Batch Apex, Apex triggers, and classes
- A strong understanding of web services, REST services, and other technologies that can be used to transport data in an enterprise environment and interact with Salesforce.com
- Experience having ownership of all end-to-end technical aspects of a Salesforce.com program, including data modelling, data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, and AppExchange products, such as Clariti Basic Gov, Conga, etc.
- Experience with CICD/Release Management, including defining, communicating, and managing technical change management (release) processes for Salesforce.com-related technology efforts
- Experience across backup and recovery processes, including data seeding using Own (formerly OwnBackup)
- Experience using Conga Composer for generating documents
- Experience with the identification of risks and issues from a technical perspective
- Proven record of delivering business value by leveraging technology, with the ability to communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level and be a trusted voice at the decision-making table
- Technical leadership, including experience coaching and mentoring, and setting best practices, such as integration and application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
