Sales Manager – Mechanical Interlocking Safety Systems\nJob Title: Head of Sales – Mechanical Interlocking Safety Systems\nIndustry Sector: Harsh and Safety Critical Environments, Mechanical, Locking, Manufacturing, Power , Utilities, Energy, Construction, Industrial Safety, Logistic Safety, Distribution, End Users, Retails, Logistics and Warehousing\nArea to be covered: – based remote\nRemuneration: £75,000 + circa £25,000-£30,000 Commission\nBenefits: Car allowance, Hybrid Car or EV + comprehensive benefits packages\nThe role of the Sales Manager – Mechanical Interlocking Safety Systems will involve:\n * Field sales man manager role, responsible for a team of 5 field sales professionals\n * Predominantly UK base but with some European travel, possible up to one month a year (3 x UK based, 1 x Germany and 1 x UK covering into Europe)\n * You will be responsible for managing, coaching, developing and where necessary recruiting replacement field sales personnel\n * Promoting safety solutions for businesses whose people and equipment operate in harsh and safety critical environments\n * Products include: safety gates, switch disconnectors, time delay switches/ isolators, panel door interlocks, exchange boxes etc.\n * Currently 70% of the team focus on selling loading bay safety solutions to safeguard against accidental drive-aways direct into manufacturing, retail, and warehouse facilities (targeting health & safety managers etc.)\n * Typical loading bay solutions £75,000-£200,000\n * 30% selling into distributors and OEMs across the energy, industrial and loading bay segments\n * Customers include: Tesco, DHL, TJK (TJ Max), UPS etc.\n * Initially responsible for a turnover of circa £5.75m (loading bay value circa £2.5m, our client sees this as the growth area) , tasked with initially growing this to £6m\n * Strategic transformation of the team towards a more new business and proactive approach, targeting new segments, contractors, specifiers and joint ventures with other manufactures\n * Exploring working in partners with allied manufacturers in order to win specifications and influence contactors e.g. industrial door manufactures\nThe ideal applicant will be a Sales Manager – Mechanical Interlocking Safety Systems with:\n * Proven track record in managing and improving a field sales team\n * Ideally with proven experience or an allied sector such as mechanical, manufacturing, retail, warehouse facilities, energy, construction etc.\n * Specific safety, automation or industrial sector experience is not essential but may be useful\n * Knowledge of safety gates, switch disconnectors, time delay switches/ isolators, panel door interlocks, exchange boxes etc.is not required\n * Must have the ability to strategically transform an account management bias sales team into a more proactive approach\n * Entrepreneurial in approach\n * Must understand value selling\n * Great coach, mentor and trainer\nCompany\n * Well established\n * Circa £15m UK turnover\n * 75+ UK employees\nMitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Field Sales Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Field Sales Jobs, Construction field sales vacancies and Specification field sales positions within: Harsh and Safety Critical Environments, Mechanical, Locking, Manufacturing, Power , Utilities, Energy, Construction, Industrial Safety, Logistic Safety, Distribution, End Users, Retails, Logistics and Warehousing
