Purpose of Job:

The Sales Associate provides fast and friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. This role maintains the condition of the sales floor, ensuring that it is clean and shoppable. They will also test/install car batteries. They will answer phone calls and assist with customer needs and take orders for hotshots/future deliveries for stocking customers. They will receive and put away orders for our All Battery store.

Job Components:

• Provide fast and friendly service.
• Answering phone calls, taking orders over the phone.

• Actively seek out and take an interest in customers.

• Offer a friendly greeting, smile, and make eye contact with customers.

• Ask open-ended questions in order to determine customer needs.

• Is knowledgeable about products.

• Describe features and benefits of merchandise.

• Drive sales by discussing available options (good, better, best) and suggesting related items.

• Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.

• Ensure store is in stock, clean, and shoppable.

• Manage financial transactions, create invoices, process customer payments.

• Test and install batteries including car/truck batteries.

• May use company vehicle to make local deliveries.

Skills and Qualifications:

• At least 21 years of

• Previous retail experience is

• Valid Drivers License and clean driving record are required

• Regular attendance is required. Hours 8:30 to 5:30 Monday - Friday
• Willingness to learn and perform battery testing and installation.
• Must have a positive attitude and friendly demeanor.

Work Environment:

• Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, lifting and carrying up to 80 pounds.

• Work involves some irregularities and difficulties with repetitive and varied tasks.

• Primarily retail store setting, however, frequently exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, dampness and battery acid as is normal to warehouse environment in this business
