Position Summary:


We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team. The Sales Assistant will support day-to-day sales operations, assist customers with product inquiries and purchases, and ensure an organized and efficient sales environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and interest in the building materials or construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide assistance in selecting products and materials
  
  
• Offer product knowledge and support based on customer needs
  
  
• Prepare sales quotes, process transactions, and complete sales paperwork
  
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the showroom and sales areas
  
  
• Assist in restocking shelves and keeping inventory accurate and up-to-date
  
  
• Coordinate with the yard and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  
  
• Answer phones and respond to email inquiries in a professional manner
  
  
• Support other team members and departments as needed
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
  
  
• Previous retail or sales experience (especially in lumber, hardware, or construction)
  
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
  
• Basic math and computer skills (experience with POS systems is a plus)
  
  
• Friendly, positive attitude with a willingness to learn
