Salary Range
The hiring target for this position is $33.83 per hour. The full salary range for this position is $30.99 to $43.39 per hour.

Job Description
The role will foster and support an inclusive and high-performance operation where team members and customers safety is at the forefront. This role assigns and oversees the work of team members, stepping in to provide hands-on help when needed to exceed customer expectations. The Safety Specialist mentors and develops the skills of leads, agents, and trainers for continuous growth and learning. By demonstrating open and honest two-way communication, the Safety Specialist ensures a successful operation at the station.
- Ability to review aircraft damage and directs corrective action.
- Conducting Risk Assessments as directed to ensure that Risk Assessments are completed at the station level.
- Coordinating with stations to promote safety initiatives.
- Assisting with station-level training requirements to ensure that all training requirements are satisfactorily met.
- Assist/Train/Coordinate as requested by the station Safety Manager.
- Maintain all break room bulletin boards in regard to safety updates.
- Ensuring that all incidents/ accidents are reported, investigated, and entered timely.
- Ability to review station employee injury trends and directs corrective action.
- Mentor and coach team members in the operation, and explain why procedures and policies are in place to raise the knowledge and awareness level of team members.
- Conduct observations and audits to ensure training effectiveness and compliance.
Qualifications
Required:
- 1-3 years of airline experience with proven skills in station operations.
- Demonstrated skills in proactive and honest communication, providing direction and allowing team members to execute tasks, setting clear expectations, and holding others accountable.
- Proven ability to provide specific and constructive feedback as well as positive recognition.
- Always promote and maintain a culture of safety.
- Thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment to meet and exceed operational targets while maintaining service, timeline, and compliance requirements.
- Self-motivated, with proven ability to lead and direct the work of others.
- Ability to understand and interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to obtain & maintain as airport SIDA badge, US Customs seal, and USPS security clearance.
- Ability to work any shift, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and Holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of .
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

- Previous experience working in a physically demanding job.
