Safety Officer (Thai Nationality Only)

Job Description: Position: Safety Officer for plant construction Location: ChonburiContract Term: 1 year contract (possible renewable)Working Hour: 5 days / weekStart Date: July 2023Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans, policies, and procedures for construction sites.Identify potential safety hazards and risks associated with construction activities and develop strategies to mitigate them.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and design.Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal safety regulations relevant to construction.Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards, such as falls, electrical hazards, confined spaces, or hazardous materials, associated with construction activities.Analyze and evaluate risk levels and recommend appropriate control measures to minimize or eliminate hazards.Promote a safety culture by conducting regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and promoting awareness campaignsConduct regular inspections of construction sites, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with safety standards.Identify potential safety violations, hazards, and non-compliance issues, and initiate corrective actions.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, incident reports, and safety-related training.Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation as required.Qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Have minimum 5 years on site construction. In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards relevant to construction.Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification techniquesExcellent communication skills to effectively train workers and communicate safety guidelinesAttention to detail and ability to identify safety gaps and implement corrective actions.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.Good command of English (spoken and written).
