Position: Safety Inspector (Janitorial)

Location: Memphis, TN

Position Description:

Our expanding company is seeking a Safety Inspector to join our safety team. Under the direction of the Safety Manager, you will responsible for assisting in implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, and providing basic safety training, as well as and follow up. Also, the Safety Inspectors are vital in ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe work environment. They work under the guidance of safety managers and play a crucial role in various safety-related tasks.

Examples of Work:

• Maintaining Safety Records: Keeping track of safety data, reports, and documentation.

• Assisting with Training: Supporting the development and delivery of employee safety training programs.

• Conducting Inspections: Performing safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Supporting Safety Programs: Assisting with implementing and maintaining various safety programs and procedures.

• Identifying and Addressing Hazards: Recognize potential safety issues and work to implement corrective actions.

• Data Entry and Administrative Tasks: Supporting the safety department with administrative tasks, such as data entry and record keeping.

• Communicating Safety Information: Communicating safety information and procedures, as well as assisting with the facilitation of monthly safety meetings.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of Safety Regulations: Understanding relevant federal and state safety regulations.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Attention to Detail: Accurately maintaining records and identifying potential safety issues.
• Proficiency in Software: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and database management software.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, lead, develop, and evaluate staff.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for the shift.

Qualifications/Requirements: 2+ years in janitorial services, leadership, and a strong background in safety experience are . Applicants must have a valid Driver's License and a clear motor vehicle record. They will also be required to pass a background check and submit to a drug and alcohol screening.
