Adecco is partnering with a successful manufacturing organization in Auburn, ME to hire a Safety Documentation Specialist who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. This is a unique hybrid role combining shop-floor safety leadership with technical documentation expertise.
If you enjoy being visible on the production floor while also creating clear, structured documentation that supports operations, quality, and compliance—this role offers the best of both worlds.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll play a key part in strengthening workplace safety programs while also supporting documentation systems across the facility.
Safety & EHS Responsibilities:

Help drive compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations

Conduct regular safety walkthroughs, audits, and hazard assessments

Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions
-
Partner with internal teams to promote a strong safety culture
-
Support and help lead safety committee initiatives and improvement efforts

Maintain safety records, reports, and training documentation
Documentation & Technical Writing:
-
Develop and update procedures, work instructions, and training materials
-
Translate technical input from engineering, production, and quality teams into clear documentation
-
Ensure documents are accurate, consistent, and easy to follow

Assist with document control and version management processes
What We’re Looking For
-
Working knowledge of OSHA standards (training or certifications such as OSHA 10 or 30 is a plus)

Experience participating in or supporting safety committees
-
Familiarity with hazard recognition and general workplace safety practices
-
Background in technical writing, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting
-
Strong ability to simplify complex processes into user-friendly documentation
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Pay Details: $24.30 to $28.60 per hour
