Amtec Staffing has partnered with a premier Concrete Construction contractor based in the East Memphis area to find an experienced Safety Director to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company recognized for its high-quality work across large-scale commercial and industrial concrete projects throughout the Mid-South region.

Project Types:
Commercial Concrete • Heavy Industrial • Structural Foundations

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee company-wide safety programs, policies, and procedures

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other federal, state, and local safety requirements

• Conduct regular jobsite inspections, audits, and safety assessments

• Lead safety training sessions for employees, subcontractors, and supervisors

• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety violations, providing detailed reports and corrective actions

• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to promote a proactive safety culture

• Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, and reporting systems

• Act as the primary point of contact for safety-related communications with clients, regulatory agencies, and insurance providers

• Drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices across all projects

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Safety Director or Safety Manager within the commercial or industrial construction industry (concrete experience strongly )

• In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, safety regulations, and construction safety best practices

• Strong communication, leadership, and training skills

• Ability to effectively engage with field teams, subcontractors, and management to enforce safety standards

• OSHA 30, CHST, CSP, or other recognized safety certifications strongly

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field
