Archer Meat Snacks, the #1 jerky brand in the Natural and Specialty Channel, is looking for a Safety Coordinator to join our growing Operations team in Vernon, CA.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining a safe, compliant, and proactive work environment across our manufacturing plant. You’ll assist in implementing safety programs, conducting training, ensuring OSHA compliance, and promoting a culture of safety across all departments.

What You’ll Own & Impact:
• Create and implement safety plans and ensure daily adherence across departments
• Conduct regular safety observations, audits, and risk assessments
• Participate in safety walks, inspections, and committee meetings to identify and mitigate potential hazards
• Educate employees on safety standards, expectations, and proper equipment operation
• Investigate incidents and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain OSHA and company safety documentation, incident logs, and records
• Track and report safety performance metrics (e.g., TRIR, DART) to monitor continuous improvement
• Manage Workers’ Compensation records, injury logs, and related documentation
• Coordinate and deliver safety training for new hires and ongoing employee education
• Support emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response procedures
• Act as a liaison with external agencies, including OSHA, insurance representatives, and fire departments

What Sets You Apart:
• Associate degree in Health and Safety or related field
• Certified in Cal-OSHA 30-hour course (required)
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and city safety requirements (including OSHA)
• Proficient in MS Office and safety management systems
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
