Title: Safety Coordinator
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary:

The Safety Coordinator supports company-wide safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards across SSI Fire and Safety Holding Co. and its subsidiaries, including State Systems, LLC (Memphis, TN) and Integrity Fire Safety Services (Denver, CO). This role assists with audits, training, reporting, and safety initiatives to protect employees, customers, and worksites.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Conduct job site visits to monitor and document safety practices.
  • Assist with inspections of personnel, equipment, and materials for compliance.
  • Support accident and incident investigations; help identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assists with safety records, reports, insurance claims, and third-party vendor reporting systems.
  • Preparing and delivering employee safety training.
  • Track and report safety metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Research safety regulations and help update policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate applications for safety permits and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel as needed (~25%) to branch offices to support safety programs.


Qualifications:
 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 1–3 years of safety or compliance experience .
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and safety standards (construction or industrial services experience a plus).
  • Ability to train and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
 

  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and kneeling; occasional sitting.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather, heights, chemicals, electrical risk, and moderate noise.
  • Requires regional travel by car and plane (~25%).
