Safety Coordinator
Job Description
Responsible for supporting foremen and project leadership in ensuring workplace safety through field inspections, training, and compliance oversight. Duties include conducting job hazard analyses, leading safety orientations, co-facilitating trainings (HazCom, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tagout), monitoring subcontractor compliance, evaluating equipment safety, and assisting with incident investigations. Also provides coaching for unsafe behaviors, recognition for safe practices, and feedback to leadership on safety improvements.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of construction safety experience (electrical )
- Strong knowledge of NFPA, NESC, ASTM, ANSI standards
- OSHA 30 Construction (required), CPR/First Aid (trainer )
- Union workforce experience desired
- Computer skills (MS Office), bilingual a plus
- Education: High School diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s in EHS, Construction Management, Business, or Engineering
- Bilingual
- BCSP certification
