Directly Reports to: Safety Manager
Hours of Operation: Vary based on jobsite scheduling
Responsible for supporting, administering, and coordinating all Company safety policies and programs including safety training for the locations, departments, and projects within their assigned geographical area. Ensure compliance with all federal and state OSHA standards and regulations. Analyze, evaluate, and address workplace hazards and accidents. Provide administrative support in maintaining safety records, completing paperwork, and coordinating meetings as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of Company safety policies and programs
- Uphold and influence positive safety culture on an organizational level
- Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
- Conduct project safety inspections and present findings to the project foreman and Safety Committee and follow up with foreman to ensure that negative findings are corrected
- Prepare and present educational seminars and safety training on various topics
- Work with the Safety Manager to review and update existing policies and procedures
- Support Foremen and Field with safety needs
- Assist HR during the safety portions of the new employee on-boarding process
- Prepare and distribute safety documentation for newly awarded projects
- Enforce preventative measures and educate employees on hazard mitigation
- Assist in coordinating Safety Committee meetings
- Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes and assist affected employees after an incident
- Oversee installations and any other work where potential hazards exist
- Work with HR to maintain all training/certifications
- Work with HR to maintain accurate Workers Compensation records
- Support the Operations team with safety administrative needs
- Accurately maintain and submit OSHA 300 logs
Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
· Communicate effectively in English (oral, verbal, and written) with management and field level employees.
· Possess strong computer skills, including, but not limited to MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
· Ability to work with, teach, and mentor members of management and the field.

· Job requires working indoors and outdoors in all elements, depending on job location, heat, cold, rain, or snow and environmental conditions that present exposure to many odors, fumes, materials, substances, and particulate matter over which the company has no control and often no forewarning of existence unless they are considered hazardous materials; may include exposure to loud and/or repetitive noises.
· Additional typical potential hazards to employees may exist that the company strives to protect such as: working from heights, in compact spaces, working both indoors and outdoors.
· This position works with energized circuits or in/with energized equipment.
· Travel to all jobsites on a regular basis using a company vehicle with potential to spend many hours per day driving in a vehicle.
· This position may require part-time or full-time work at a designated project(s)
Physical & Mental Requirements
· Standing, walking, driving, and speaking to large groups for extended periods of time.
· Ability to access construction areas from street level to all levels of the project structure, even when only access is by OSHA approved ladder or stairs still under construction.
· Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others.
