Safety Administration Coordinator

Position Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with the compliance, record keeping, reporting, training and auditing as it relates to employee safety. This individual will assist the Safety team by helping to ensure that the company remains in good standing with all federal, state, and local regulations as they pertain to the Occupation Safety and Health Administration and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Major Areas of Accountability

Training

  • Maintain Training Documentation and Compliance
  • Schedule safety trainings (First Aid/CPR, Hazmat, etc.) as needed
  • Schedule and attend Safety Committee Meetings
  • Prepare documents and training material for Modern Academy

Safety Records

  • Assist with a variety of data and reports; track DOT compliance to ensure proper maintenance and implementation of driver requirements per current FMCSA regulations
  • Maintain FMCSA records and reports required by Federal, State and local regulations, driver qualification files and other appropriate records for all FMCSA regulated employees
  • Maintain DOT Physical log and schedule Physicals as necessary
  • Monitor Driver Information in Tower
  • Monitor and Schedule Driver Orientations at Facilities
  • Assists with the OSHA 300 Log
  • Monitor and update MSDS On-Line Program
  • Track, Schedule, and Monitor Hepatitis B Vaccines

Administrative

  • Maintain safety supply inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Schedule and document boot truck site visits

Education and Experience

  • 2+ years performing similar types of tasks in an administrative setting.
  • Experience with Safety and DOT regulations is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to maintain high attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to work well as a team member.
  • Strong skills in effective oral, written, interpersonal and listening, including the ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.
  • Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
