ROV Workshop Supervisor
Job Description
We are looking for a full-time Onshore ROV Workshop Supervisor to join our busy Workshop team, based in our Aberdeen Base.
This role is responsible for servicing, repairing, maintenance, and continuous improvement of various ROV systems, manipulator types, tooling, sensor equipment and workshop facilities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain operational workshop facilities for the mobilisation, demobilisation, refurbishment, maintenance, and repair of ROV systems, tooling, sensors and other equipment in accordance with workshop procedures and under the direction of the Workshop Manager
- Ensure all ROV equipment in base is maintained and compliant with all technical & project requirements
- Manage and plan maintenance activities for ROV equipment
- Perform pre/post deployment checks and QC audits for ROV equipment, in line with ROVOP processes
- Use logical techniques to identify technical faults during maintenance, repairs and testing
- Ensure equipment repairs are carried out in a timely manner
- Compile and maintain technical records, reports and logs using the ROVOP IMS
- Ensure all inventory levels align with recommended requirements
- Liaise with the Project Team to prepare for future operational requirements and assist in project field mobilisations
- Liaise with Technical and Asset Team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of ROV equipment
- Work closely with the Logistics Team to assist with the transport of equipment to/from projects
- Support the Workshop Manager with supervision of other workshop technicians, offshore personnel and any third parties to safely and competently execute workshop activities
- Supervision of ROV Pilot Trainees aligned to the ROVOP Trainee Programme
- Operation of forklift truck and gantry crane
- Assist with workshop deliveries and driving duties
- Deputise as Workshop Manager as required, ensuring all associated responsibilities this role entails are undertaken and executed safely and in accordance with ROVOP processes and procedures.
Previous Experience
For this position, it is required that you have previous working knowledge of various ROV systems and their capabilities, as well as previous exposure to “service company” culture. Candidates should also hold their Overhead Gantry Crane certificate. Ideally, candidates would have previous experience in a similar role, or be time served in an electrical engineering, mechanical or hydraulic background.
