Ready to lead the next wave of underwater technology? Join Global Diving & Salvage as the ROV Supervisor, you’ll head a skilled team on the front lines of both Inland & Offshore exploration, overseeing cutting-edge remotely operated vehicle (ROV), Seaeye Falcon, & Deep Trekker Revolution operations in demanding marine environments. You’ll be the driving force behind safe, efficient ROV mobilization, maintenance, and piloting, while mentoring technicians and shaping innovative solutions for our clients. This position is on-site in Seattle, Washington.



Position Essential Job Functions

  • ROV Supervisor is responsible for the operational and safety performance of the ROV crew
  • Provide ROV Operational Support to the Operations Department and projects where applicable
  • Perform and oversee troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on ROVs and associated components (e.g., manipulators, sonar, video, sensors, hydraulic systems).
  • Ensure all technical, operational, and safety documentation is up to date as needed
  • Maintain effective communication with the ROV & Marine Technology Manager
  • Monitor and report on ROV system technical performance
  • Manage and coordinate ROV mobilizations and demobilizations where appropriate
  • Provide onsite support for ongoing projects and preparation of field reports
  • Ensure planned and preventative maintenance activities are carried out
  • Ensure that project procedures and safety documentation are available to the ROV crews
  • Motivate and manage all ROV personnel to maximize performance
  • Performance evaluation of all ROV Personnel under their supervision
  • Attend project meetings as required
  • Understand all applicable legislation relating to offshore operations referred to in company documentation
  • Participate in job risk assessments, safety meetings, and compliance with all safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Lead safety briefings to clients, vessel crew, and ROV team
  • Ensure the ROV team and others understand and review their role in emergency situations
  • Ensure all work activities undertaken are carried out in accordance with company policies and standards
  • Report all hazard observations, incidents, and near misses as required by company procedures

Qualifications Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Optional: Technical certificate or associate degree in Marine Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Tech, Robotics, hydrographic, or related field.

Experience

  • 5 years of experience in ROV operations and maintenance
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of SAAB Seaeye vehicles, Deep Trekker Vehicles.
  • Experience in field operations and logistics
  • Experience with electrical systems, both
  • Strong computer skills, including experience in the setup and operation of electronic navigation tools
  • Working knowledge of diving regulations and safe diving practices
  • Working knowledge of standard construction practices and law

Knowledge/Skills

  • All employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Effective communicator with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively with internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to read technical schematics and service manuals
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in a random DOT drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Must submit driving record for the past three years
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Physical / Mental Requirements

  • Perform work in an office setting
  • Perform work in the field, including work on boats and floating barges
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs occasionally up to 12 times per shift.
  • Endurance for standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, crouching, bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, repetitive reaching, and repetitive hand use for up to 12 hours per day in all weather conditions (Sun, Rain, Sleet, and Snow)
  • Must be able to travel to project sites as needed, including the ability to travel out of town for short periods of time

******Location - Seattle, Washington(on-site)

Compensation and Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is:
    • For shop: $27-30 an hour
    • For Field: $45-55 an hour
