Location: Howell, Mi
Shift: 1st Shift – Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $24.00/hour – Based on Experience
Employment Type: Full-Time
Introduction:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Rotor Braze Welder to join the Die Cast Department for a manufacturing leader in precision components. This role is ideal for welders who excel in Brazing, TIG, Arc, and Gas welding, have strong mechanical aptitude, and are skilled with precision measuring instruments and blueprint reading.
Position Summary:
The Rotor Braze Welder fabricates rotors and smaller special stators according to work order specifications, assembles and repairs stators as needed for electric motor assemblies, and ensures all welding and fabrication work meets quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate rotors and special stators per work order specifications
- Measure laminations to ensure proper size stacks for welding/fabrication
- Inspect and maintain welding equipment to ensure proper operation
- Weld steel laminations on appropriate mandrels
- Assemble and repair small stators as needed
- Maintain product quality standards and perform final inspections
- Keep work area clean and organized in accordance with housekeeping standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by department lead or supervisor
Qualifications Required:
- 2 years Brazing experience, TIG, Arc, and Gas welding experience
- Ability to read precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work order tickets
- Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting ability
- Proficient with both power and hand tools
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 75 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time throughout the shift
