Job Title: Robotic Welding Operator

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Robotic Welding Operator to set up, operate, and maintain robotic welding systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with robotic welders, welding processes, and quality control, ensuring that parts meet or exceed production and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate robotic welding machines according to production requirements.
  • Load and unload parts onto fixtures and position them for automated welding.
  • Monitor robotic welding operations and adjust as needed for alignment, speed, or quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on robotic welders.
  • Inspect welded joints for quality and conformity to specifications using visual inspection or measurement tools.
  • Troubleshoot robotic welding equipment and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve welding processes and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and always wear appropriate PPE.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
  • Maintain neat, clean and orderly warehouse appearance.
  • Ability to work extended hours/overtime as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Conform to all quality and safety procedures.
  • Required to operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.

Required Qualifications or Experience:

  • Technical training or welding certification .
  • 1 year of experience in robotic welding or a related field. .
  • Familiarity with welding processes such as MIG or TIG welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb and move about the facility.
  • Regularly required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, reach & carry.
