RPA Developer
3-month Contract to Hire
On site in Waukesha, WI
This position works in close partnership with automation supervisors and key business stakeholders to analyze, document, and enhance operational processes through automation. The RPA Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying bots to automate business workflows, while ensuring alignment with internal IT standards, security policies, and support expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

Build, test, and deploy automation solutions using UiPath or similar RPA platforms to streamline manual processes.

Follow best practices in RPA workflow design to ensure efficient, scalable, and maintainable automation.

Create new processes and objects in line with core RPA design principles.

Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with governance, security, and audit standards.

Design and document test cases for performance, exception handling, and edge scenarios.

Monitor test results and ensure timely resolution of issues through the development lifecycle.

Support user acceptance testing and deployment activities.

Maintain bots post-deployment, troubleshooting errors and managing incidents within agreed service levels.

Translate larger business challenges into modular RPA solutions using object-oriented design methods.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements through observation and interviews.

Prepare and update documentation such as Process Definition Documents (PDD) and Solution Design Documents (SDD).

Assist in defining testing protocols and manage user testing efforts.

Evaluate automation opportunities, assess feasibility, and provide effort estimates.

Monitor bots in production and respond to failures or performance issues.

Ensure compliance with IT and security standards during development and configuration.

Deliver bot demonstrations and support solution rollout to users.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced RPA developers.
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

At least 2 years of experience with RPA tools or equivalent automation/development experience.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related discipline.

Experience with UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere.
