RNG Operations Manager

Piper Maddox is partnering with a leading organization in the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) space looking to bring on an RNG Operations Manager.

This person will lead and be responsible for the efficient and safe execution of operations and maintenance across RNG facilities and projects, ensuring reliable operations, regulatory compliance, and strong overall plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily O&M ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant performance while meeting all targets for uptime, gas quality, asset performance, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee maintenance execution, troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and continuous operational improvements to maximize plant performance.
• Drive reliability and regulatory compliance through SOPs, preventative maintenance programs, RCA, and CMMS, with the ability to develop, update, and improve operational procedures.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, compliance, and project teams to ensure seamless project execution, regulatory compliance, and alignment between operations and organizational objectives.
• Ensure 24/7 operational readiness by supporting emergency response and troubleshooting across multiple facilities.

Qualifications:

• 7-10+ years of experience in industrial operations or maintenance leadership.
• Ability to travel up to 70-75% to plant sites.
• Industry experience within RNG, biogas, landfill gas, gas processing, or related industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, or wastewater.
• Experience managing multi-site operations or field service teams.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues and improve reliability.
