Opportunity to join as a R&M Production Engineer on a 2 years contract for the first Deepwater Sour Gas development in Sarawak, the Rosmari and Marjoram fields to as deliver technical safe production of hydrocarbon within operating envelope, business targets and regulatory compliances including: -
1. Manage offshore NUIs process from subsea and dry tree systems to export pipeline with chemical injection, MEG injection, metering, and power system
2. Manage inlet receiving facility gas from R&M Offshore, separation, stabilization, compression and mercury removal prior to gas sweetening processing and gas/condensate metering.
3. Manage processes for high H2S acid gas removal, stabilization, sulphur recovery/palletization, and MEG system for export of sweet gas and sulphur to customers
4. Manage utilities systems including steam system, boilers, service water, instrument airs, nitrogen, and other utilities system for R&M OGP
Skills and Requirements:
Minimum
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering fresh graduate, must be 26 years old and below as of 31 Dec 2025
2. Good leadership, stakeholder management, planning, communication/writing and problem-solving skills.
1. Production Support Engineering/Process Engineering experiences and technical capabilities are highly encouraged.
2. Has working experience/exposure to oil and gas experiences in Operations & Maintenance.
3. Awareness knowledge of Permit to Work system
4. Willing to take this role under a 2 years contract
Dimensions:
The incumbent will be based in Bintulu R&M OGP Office to support the Commissioning, Start Up, and Operations of OGP.
1. During Project phase. at Company’s discretion, the incumbent work at normal office hour of 5 working days per week.
2. During Operate phase, the incumbent will work on 12 hours day shift cycle typically 4 consecutive days, followed by 4 consecutive days off rotation cycle, subjected to changes if required. During TA/Pitstop, PTW Coordinator might work night shift to cover 24x7 work activities if required.
3. R&M OGP produces 800 MMscf/d of Gas and 17kboe/d of NGL at high Annual Operating Expenditure (OPEX). Gas production is expected to start in 2026 and will be piped to the neighboring Malaysia Liquified Natural Gas (MLNG) complex. R&M fields are situated approximately 220km off the coast of Bintulu. The project comprises a remotely operated offshore platform and onshore gas plant, with infrastructure that includes one of the longest sour wet gas offshore pipelines in the world stretching more than 200km. R&M will be mainly powered by renewable energy; utilizing solar power offshore and hydroelectric power onshore.
Accountabilities:
Executes accountabilities, but not limited to below, which may be included as and when required to ensure successful ORA processes and OPERATE phase of R&M OGP:-
1. Relentless pursuit of Goal zero target with no harm to people (Personal Safety) and no Leak (Process Safety)
2. Provide operational support to integrated project and asset team to start up Offshore facilities and OGP safely and meeting SURU Target.
3. Support PTW Coordinator for the initial Setup of PTW system (Permit Vision).
4. Support operational task, for example to develop and maintain UTL (Universal Tag Locator) for R&M reporting database (eg: End of Shift Report, Shift Handover Report, Action Tracker Database, Operation Registers such as Temporary Repair Register, Temporary Equipment Register, LOLC register and others).
5. During Operate phase, coordinating the administration of the PTW system to ensure its effectiveness in control over hazards and managing risk at the worksite to as low as reasonably practicable and smooth running of the procedure. This person is the focal point for all work requiring Work Permit.
6. Strive for optimal quality of PTW system effectiveness through audits and maintain a target of 100% PTW compliance, while continuously engaging with the workforce on the findings of PTW non-compliances.
7. Maintain Permit to Work System documentation archived for audit trail.
8. Ensure full compliance with Group Life Saving Rules.
9. Embed Process Safety Fundamentals and train new facility members on their importance of PSF.
10. Site HSSE Coach in OGP, performing daily safety field walkabout and coaching to staffs and contractors, PTW Audits and PTW Field Assurance Process
11. Support Management of Change (MoC) processes and manage deviation to ALARP. Ensure mitigations are implemented with confirmed understanding of workforces in RMP and OGP
12. Support Production Engineer in technical advisories for process and utilities systems, leading Production Operations and Maintenance. Facilitates strong support network with maintenance, project, HSSE and facility improvement teams: - to ensure integrated, effective approach to identify challenges, assess improvement opportunities, formulate solutions and influence through execution rightfully.
13. Support Production Support Lead/Engineer to provide technical supports safe and reliable production of Production Unit 1 & 2 (IRF, Gas Processing Unit Processes & Utilities) to meet agreed production/emmissions/discharge/HSSE business targets and drive towards top quartile R&M OFP Asset Lifecycle.
14. Provide support to Rapid Improvement Production Engineer to troubleshoot and develop solution for MTO threats during SURU period.
