Job Summary
We are looking for a highly analytical and hands-on Risk Quantification Engineer with a strong foundation in security, risk management, and IT infrastructure support. You will have a proven track record of performing gap analyses and risk assessments, be able to quantify technical risk in financial terms, and thrive in a fast-moving, compliance-driven environment. We are looking for excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail. You are a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
This role reports to the Director of IT and will contribute to both strategic risk initiatives and day-to-day IT operations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct and deliver comprehensive gap analyses and risk assessments (target: 2–3 weeks/project).
- Quantify risk exposure in financial terms, aligning technical threats with business impact.
- Support HIPAA and other regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2) through documentation and control mapping.
- Assist in building workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools for risk and compliance tracking.
- Provide Level 1–2 IT support, including system troubleshooting, basic network support, and user issue resolution.
- Collaborate with the IT Director on dashboards, technical solutions, and process improvements.
- Participate in compliance and audit support activities as needed.
- Performs any and all additional duties as requested and directed for this position.
Basic Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years in security engineering, risk analysis, or compliance roles (preferably in healthcare or HIPAA-regulated environments)
- Minimum 1+ years of experience with a track record of success conducting gap analyses, risk assessments, and control testing.
- Minimum 1 + years of experience demonstrating ability to map security risks to dollar impact and explain findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience demonstrating a solid understanding of Windows networking infrastructure and familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Azure.
- Comfortable supporting internal IT operations, including end-user support and basic system administration.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and ability to build workflows and process documentation.
Education
- B.S. in Engineering required. Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering or Electrical Engineering .
License, Certification, Registration
