Position Profile
Reporting to the Health System's Vice President of Quality and Risk, the Risk Manager is responsible for developing and implementing enterprise risk management policies and procedures to safeguard the health system from identified risks. They collaborate with other leaders who oversee aspects of the Corporate Risk Management Model and Program Plans. A key duty involves facilitating communication between patients, families, medical staff, administrative staff, and regulatory agencies, particularly when addressing patient grievances and working towards dispute resolution. This leadership position also helps drive process improvements across the health system to reduce organizational risks, aligning with enterprise risk management principles.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, BSN . Master's degree in a healthcare related field .
- Licensure: Current California Registered Nurse license (RN) required. Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) . Certified Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) .
- Experience: Three (3) years in a healthcare system risk/acute care risk management role, Experience with Enterprise Risk Management . Acute care hospital experience required.
