Retread Process Engineer

A leading organization in the tire and retread manufacturing industry is seeking a Retread Process Engineer to support and improve retread shop floor processes and equipment across its partner network. This role also provides ongoing technical assistance for equipment and systems used in retread operations throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain process instructions and specifications for partner retread facilities

• Conduct compliance audits of retread processes and report findings to management

• Support partner facilities in maintaining and improving quality systems

• Provide technical insight into process anomalies and field issues

• Deliver technical training to partner retreaders on equipment and best practices

• Assist in developing and enhancing product traceability systems

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with R&D to implement new technologies and processes

Decision-Making & Autonomy:

• Makes independent decisions aligned with broad operational goals

• Works collaboratively in a team environment with shared responsibility for outcomes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field

• Minimum 2 years of industry experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or process engineering

• 5+ years of experience in technical roles, ideally within tire or retread operations

• Demonstrated experience leading projects or cross-functional teams

• Experience with retread processes and technical training delivery

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

Physical & Travel Requirements:

• Ability to move large truck tires (with lifting assistance)

• Able to stand for extended periods (2+ hours)

• Willingness to travel to partner locations as needed
