Summary: A C.C.A. Maintenance Technician receives work orders digitally indicating the scope of work to be performed. They are expected to determine the materials, tools, and possible repair procedures needed. Limited Supervision is given to this employee.
Employee Job Functions:
- Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment (meter)
- Reassemble equipment after thoroughly cleaning
- Recommend, repair defective components found during job performance.
- Inspect and verify low voltage wire connections, repair if needed.
- Adjust system controls to proper setting as required by manufacturer specifications
- Install auxiliary components into system such as UV Lights, Surge Protectors, Air scrubbers, etc.
- Install and test automatic, programmable, or wireless thermostats to maximize system efficiency.
- Dispatch and Arrive to location at scheduled time and destination.
- Relocate from jobsite to jobsite as dispatched during the work day.
- Report to dispatcher at end of day to verify no more calls
- Follow instructions from supervisors, and/or dispatchers to carry out in a timely manner.
- Report problems found, write a detailed estimate.
- Communicate with customers and collect C.O.D. on maintenance visits as needed/directed.
- Ability to work staggered schedule if required
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
- Complete required forms correctly and in a timely manner.
- Provide customers with new/renewal maintenance agreements
- Inform and educate customers about the system, additional components, and specifics of the Maintenance Agreement.
- Inform customer of replacement options following company guidelines
- Develop basic knowledge of electrical, refrigeration, airflow, service tools, service programs, and testing devices.
- Build average ticket by completing system diagnostic checklist, photographing work performed, and providing findings to company/customer.
Overall Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- Insurable driving record
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- At least 1 year of overall experience as a technician or similar role within a HVAC related field
- Work from ladders ranging from 4’-40’
- Ability to operate power and hand tools
- Participate in in-house training programs
- Ability to follow written and verbal communication
- Must have good communication skills and presentation skills
- EPA certification a plus, not required. Can acquire in house.
- Must have clear and analytical approach to problem solving
- Applicant should be self motivated, and able to work with out constant supervision.
