Job Overview:
Hoops HR is recruiting a Residential Construction Project Manager for a well-established home renovation and remodeling company based in Wixom, MI. This full-time, in-person role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives on managing multiple home improvement and residential remodel projects from planning through homeowner handoff.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, trade partners, suppliers, and field teams—ensuring each project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Execution
- Oversee daily onsite activities for residential remodels, additions, and home improvement projects.
- Ensure all work meets design specifications, building codes, and company quality standards.
- Review project scopes, identify potential issues early, and maintain strict budget control.
- Schedule internal crews and trade partners, ensuring the right team and materials are ready for each phase.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while keeping timelines and budgets aligned.
- Conduct pre-construction meetings, walkthroughs, and final homeowner orientations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite at all times.
Team Leadership & Client Relations
- Act as the primary contact for homeowners, ensuring satisfaction and transparent communication throughout the project.
- Lead, coach, and mentor field staff, carpenters, and subcontractors.
- Foster a positive, solutions-oriented environment aligned with company values.
- Collaborate with design and estimating teams for seamless project handoffs.
- Identify and resolve construction conflicts promptly with clear communication.
Quality Control & Safety
- Conduct quality inspections at each phase of the build.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed by all team members and subcontractors.
- Complete and maintain punch lists, ensuring every detail meets company standards.
Administrative & Strategic Support
- Participate in weekly production meetings and assist with scheduling and forecasting.
- Contribute to hiring, performance reviews, and team development.
- Assist in setting project budgets and implementing process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of residential construction or remodeling project management experience.
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, construction documents, and specifications.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Work Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
- Location: In-person, based in Wixom, Michigan
- Relocation: Must be able to reliably commute or relocate before starting work
