Job DescriptionJob Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Residential Construction Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping successful residential projects by preparing precise and competitive cost estimates. If you have a strong grasp of construction methods, materials, and labor costs we'd love you hear from you!

Job Description

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare material take-offs, labor estimates and subcontractor/vendor pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers and subcontractors to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies. 
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain cost databases, unit pricing and budgets to management and clients. 
• Track project costs and provide timely updates during bidding and construction phases.
• Stay current with industry trends, building codes, and best practices. 

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in residential construction .
• Strong knowledge of residential building systems, materials, and methods. 
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office. 
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications. 
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• A sharp eye for detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field ( but not required)
