Resident Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our construction management team you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of on-site engineering activities for large-scale construction projects.

• Lead and coordinate on-site engineering activities ensuring adherence to project specifications quality standards and safety regulations
• Collaborate with project managers contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines
• Review and approve construction methodologies work plans and technical submittals
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and local building codes
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on-site
• Prepare and present detailed progress reports identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies
• Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals
• Implement and maintain robust safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Analyze and optimize construction processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Oversee contract management and ensure compliance with project agreements

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Resident Engineer with a focus on large-scale buildings projects with minimum 15 years overall experience. 
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies quality control processes and safety regulations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• In-depth understanding of the construction industry and local building codes in Dubai UAE
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Strong leadership and communication abilities with experience in managing and mentoring teams
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
• Knowledge of contract management and oversight practices
• Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
