Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a leading renewable energy consultancy to recruit a Renewables Electrical Engineer to support on renewable infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe.The Renewables Electrical Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £70,000 depending on experience, alongside an excellent benefits package.If you have experience in electrical engineering, grid connections, or renewable energy infrastructure projects and are looking to join a technically focused organisation delivering complex renewable energy developments, apply today by submitting your CV.Responsibilities and duties of the Renewables Electrical Engineer roleReporting to the Head of Electrical you will:Advise clients on grid connection requirements, associated costs, project timescales and technical considerations for renewable energy developments.Prepare and submit grid connection applications and modification requests for wind, solar PV and battery energy storage projects.Review and oversee the design, installation and commissioning of electrical infrastructure to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.Ensure grid connection infrastructure is delivered in accordance with Distribution Network Operator (DNO) and Transmission System Operator (TSO) requirementsProvide technical support to project delivery teams throughout the development and construction phases of renewable energy projects.Attend project meetings and carry out site inspections to monitor progress, assess quality and identify any corrective actions required.Support the planning, coordination and delivery of grid code compliance testing activities.Monitor developments in electrical engineering standards, grid regulations and renewable energy technologiesCoordinate and manage external consultants, contractors and specialist technical advisors where requiredProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or possess equivalent industry experienceMinimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience within electrical engineering, power systems, utilities or renewable energy projectsStrong understanding of electrical engineering principles, grid connection processes and project deliveryKnowledge of medium and high voltage electrical systems, protection schemes and network infrastructureExperience supporting the design, construction or commissioning of renewable energy projects up to 132kVExperience within the renewable energy sector would be highly advantageousPersonal skillsThe Renewables Electrical Engineer role would suit someone who is:Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAnalytical with a structured approach to problem solvingProactive and capable of working independently when requiredCollaborative and comfortable working within multidisciplinary project teamsAdaptable and able to manage changing project prioritiesSalary and benefits of the Renewables Electrical Engineer roleSalary up to £70,000 depending on experienceHybrid and flexible working arrangementsOngoing training and professional developmentOpportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projectsCollaborative and supportive working environmentComprehensive company benefits package#LI-RE1INDRENAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
