Accounting Operations Manager – Inside Out LLC
Position Summary
Inside Out LLC (IO), a -founded, globally-minded holding company seeking a detail-oriented and dependable accounting operations manager to support day-to-day financial and accounting operations across the organization. This role will focus on accurate execution of accounting processes, financial systems support (primarily NetSuite) and defining financial processes and best practices for future use as the organization grows.
The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals and is comfortable working independently. This is a remote, independent contractor role with the opportunity to grow into a full-time salaried position. It is that the candidate also has operational experience in apparel or consumer goods as the a large focus of this role will in support of the Inside Out Fashion, Textiles & Home division.
Key Responsibilities
· Core Accounting Operations
o Perform and manage daily accounting tasks including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
o Execute timely and accurate month-end close procedures and assist in quarter-end and year-end processes.
o Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and supporting documentation across multiple entities and currencies.
· Inventory & Cost Accounting
o Assist with inventory accounting including SKU-level margin tracking, landed cost reconciliation, and COGS reporting.
o Collaborate with operations to support accuracy in inventory valuation and cycle counts.
· NetSuite Support
o Support the implementation of NetSuite by developing accounting frameworks, configuring financial modules, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems to optimize financial reporting and operations.
o Assist with the maintenance of NetSuite, ensuring accurate data entry, report , and performing basic troubleshooting.
o Provide support to the CFO and operations teams with NetSuite reporting and financial data extraction.
· Audit & Compliance Preparation
o Support the CFO in audit preparation by compiling supporting schedules and documentation.
o Help ensure tax and compliance filings are accurate and timely with external advisors.
· Process Maintenance
o Follow and maintain established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and accounting workflows.
o Suggest improvements to existing accounting processes to support accuracy and efficiency.
Ideal Candidate Profile
· Technical Excellence: CPA . Deep understanding of US GAAP, multi-entity consolidations, inventory accounting, and apparel-industry cost structures. Experience preparing financials for both internal strategy and external compliance.
· Apparel-Savvy: 3+ years of experience in apparel, fashion, or a related consumer goods sector. Direct exposure to manufacturing, landed cost modeling, and seasonal planning cycles is required.
· NetSuite Proficiency: 2+ years working in NetSuite, including implementation or major customizations. Familiarity with inventory, manufacturing, and financial modules required.
· Strategic & Detail-Oriented: Ability to zoom out and assess financial strategy while also thriving in the day-to-day precision of accounting. Proactive, self-driven, and thorough in execution.
· Culturally Fluent: A globally curious and respectful collaborator. Experienced working across time zones, , and organizational cultures.
· Builder’s Mindset: Enthusiastic about improving systems, building scalable infrastructure, and solving root-cause issues. Comfortable operating in ambiguity and evolving environments.

As IO scales its operations, this position ensures the integrity of day-to-day financial execution. Your diligence and accounting fluency will directly support the CFO’s ability to lead high-level initiatives and ensure accurate financial reporting across the organization.
Compensation and Terms
· Hourly Rate: $65–75 USD/hour, depending on experience
· Employment Type: Independent contractor
· Opportunity for Full-Time: Possibility to convert to salaried employment with benefits within 3–6 months based on performance
· Location: Remote (with flexible availability across North American time zones)
· Travel: Occasional travel may be requested based on organizational needs
