Job Description

Role Overview:

My client, a well known FMCG organisation in Northern Ireland are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Reliability Engineer to support the performance, efficiency, and longevity of site equipment and assets. This role focuses on minimising downtime, improving maintenance strategies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement reliability strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime
  • Analyze equipment failures and maintenance data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Lead and support reliability improvement projects, including predictive and preventive maintenance programs
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to optimize asset performance and lifecycle management
  • Utilise condition monitoring tools and techniques to detect early signs of equipment issues
  • Support the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment history, performance metrics, and maintenance interventions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards


Key Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
  • Proven experience in a reliability, maintenance, or engineering role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of reliability methodologies and tools (e.g., RCA, FMEA, condition monitoring)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure


Desirable:

  • Experience with continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Familiarity with asset management standards and best practices
