Overview\n\nThis Reliability Engineering vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop and grow their skills and knowledge within a thriving organisation. The job holder will be engaged in a wide variety of Systems Engineering activities covering the entire engineering lifecycle.\n\nSpecific experience FMEA and FMECA\n\nResponsibilities\n\nAs a reliability support engineer the role may include but is not limited to the following types of activities centred on reliability analysis whilst working alongside in support of design teams.\n\nReliability analysis (typically predictions, FMECA and Critical Items Lists).\nReliability based hazard analysis\nRoot cause analysis\ndevelopment of relaibilty programmes \n\nQualifications\n\nDegree level qualification an engineering or technical subject.\nA lower qualification would be acceptable for example HNC/HND should the candidate be able to demonstrate significant demonstrable experience in lieu.Essential skills\n\nClear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to modify the message to pitch at all levels of the organisation\nA thorough and methodical approach to work with high quality and accuracy\nThe ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve project goals\nThe ability to interpret and produce technical documentation, such as SOR, SOW & trade studies \n\nDesired skills\n\nPart stress reliability prediction using Mil-Hdbk-217 and FIDES (new projects increasingly using FIDES). Understanding of predictions for mechanical items necessary for some equipment.\nFMECA skills for complex electronic and electro-mechanical equipment.\nCritical Item List preparation.\nUse of Windchill\nUse of reliability tool sets.

\n\nExperience\n\nEngineering based experience, also as a relaibility engineer.\nDefence experience would be an advantage \n\nWhat do I need before I apply\n\nSC Cleared\nAbility and willingness to travel to and work on the client site at Stevenage minimum 3 days per week\nAbility and willingness to travel to and work on the client site at Filton as required
