An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Sales & Business Development Executive to cover Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire areas. JOB FUNCTION
Working within a team, you will be responsible for maintaining a customer base and focusing on new business. You will be required to provide support within the business, in addition to troubleshooting and alleviating problems as and when they arise.
We therefore require a professional, highly motivated, organised, dedicated and team-orientated person to work in this field based role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The main duties of the Field Sales and Business Development Executive are listed below, but it is the nature of the job that each activity will have its own range of demands which he/she will be expected to meet.
SALES
- Generating new business.
- Discuss products and orders with existing customers.
- Achieve set monthly sales targets, personal and team targets.
- Booking 10-15 client meetings per week.
- Regular pricing reviews with customers.
- Bespoke and equipment quotations to customers to meet set service level agreements
- Introducing and promoting clients to our sister business “Carrara Coffee Roasters” with an aim to increasing knowledge of the coffee brand to the public.
MARKETING
- Work with our Marketing Manager to create and manage promotional campaigns on all Select Caterings social media accounts.
- Suggest seasonal product special offers
ADMIN
- Generating quotations using Select Catering Solutions pricing structure through excel.
- Plan appointments using shared calendar.
- Reviewing customer sales and forecasting how to achieve increased business.
GENERAL
- Successfully achieve departmental service level agreements.
- Complete annual ‘SMART’ objectives set with the line manager, which are to be reviewed on a regular basis.
- The above list is not exhaustive, and the post holder will undertake other duties as required.
- Follow Select Catering’s health and safety practices.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
You will be:
- Experienced in field sales, some experience within the catering industry would be preferred but not essential.
- Excellent at negotiation and be able to achieve the maximum profit margins.
- A good multi-tasker with a practical “hands-on” approach
- Able to prioritise work, cope with competing deadlines and use initiative in a variety of situations
- Someone who takes full responsibility and ownership for their work, ensuring follow through to always gain a positive result
- Able to generate a good rapport with colleagues, customers and suppliers
- Accurate in all areas of the job role
- Have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
